What are the pros and cons of using man made slabs as opposed to natural stone slabs?
I have noticed that man made slabs are considerably cheaper than the natural stone ones, what are the differences?
The concrete stones are a lot cheaper and more consistent. But they will always look like concrete. The natural stone looks better but is more expensive to buy and more labor intensive to install.
A stone patio has to lain on a sand bed, and each stone has to be leveled into the patio.

I made a nice looking patio with these molds for fairly cheap. About 3/4 bag of 80 lb. quickrete per mold. Once you find a rhythm it goes pretty fast. Now that moss is growing on my patio, you really can't tell it's concrete. I had to sweep a few bags of sand into the "grout lines" to level it out and make it look right.
